Special Forces Soldier Accused of Betting on Maduro Arrest
A Master Sergeant of the United States Army Special Forces, Gannon Ken Van Dyke, is currently facing charges of insider trading and fraud by allegedly utilizing classified military information to make a bet that President Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela would be arrested. The prosecution alleges that Van Dyke, who was involved in planning the covert mission to capture Maduro, made more than $33,000 worth of bets on Polymarket and earned himself more than $400,000 as a return from the venture. Even after taking measures such as using a Virtual Private Network (VPN), Van Dyke could not cover up his tracks.
